Residential solar power spreads in Wilmette

Harry and Beth Drucker are believed to be some of the first homeowners in Wilmette to install solar thermal and solar photovoltaic panels. Kirsten Keller/22nd Century Media

Paul Doughty and his wife, Kim Rode, installed 20 solar photovoltaic panels on the roof of their garage on Lake Avenue in 2015. The array is estimated to produce 6,766 kWh of power per year.
